Shipping Info

Within the continental US we ship by UPS (United Parcel Service) and USPS (US Postal Service). Shipments to Hawaii, Alasaka, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and international shipments go by US Mail only.

Store Schedule

Our store and shipping facility is open Monday - Friday. We try to get and process our orders every day and, if possible, ship them within 2 business days, although if it's really busy it might be 3 business days.

Shipping Cost Calculations

Shipping costs are based on the weight of the items you ordered and the destination they are going to. The charges will be calculated in the shopping cart when you log in or register, based on the actual shipping address they are going to.

The weight of your total order is estimated. Since many of our products are empty bottles and tubes, the final weight of the package(s) may be different than what is calculated by the shopping cart. We are working to get this as accurate as possible, but there are always variances.

We add $1.00 to the shipping cost to cover the cost of the box, which is calculated into the amount shown in the shopping cart.

Oversize Packages

Due to the light weight and large bulk of empty Foam Pump Bottles and Malibu Tubes, large orders sometimes end up as oversize packages. Any box that is over 80" (girth plus height) and weighs less than 30 lbs is charged at the 30 lb rate, and the size restrictions for 3-day or 2-day air are even smaller.

Our shopping cart cannot make this calculation. Therefore, we reserve the right to adjust the shipping charges if necessary to cover the UPS charges for oversize parcels. We do, however, do everything we can to keep the boxes below the oversize cut-off.

As a note, we've tried a number of ways to circumvent the oversize charges. Sending in two separate boxes ends up costing just as much because of the base rate for smaller packages.

It takes, for example, about 70 of the Table Top Foamers or 144 of the Large Foam Pump Bottles to reach the oversize limit.

Actual Shipping Cost

The final shipping costs that show up in the in the shopping cart are gotten directly from the USPS and UPS, but may not be correct as they are based on the estimated weight of the package and don't take any oversize boxes into account. The are based on the "retail rate", but we get a slightly different rate because we have a daily pickup. Therefore, the final shipping amount many be slightly higher or lower than shown.

If you think your package might be oversize and you want to approve the actual shipping amount before the order ships, please make a note in the "comments" section of the order checkout form or call the store (541-572-0281).

If it is substantially more, we will contact you before shipping.

Lost Packages

UPS shipments automatically include insurance and the ability to track the package. Shipments by US Mail (USPS) cannot be tracked. If you choose to have your package sent by the Postal Service, we cannot be responsible for lost packages.

In the unlikely event that your package is lost, please contact us immediately with the details (you can email or phone) so we can start tracking it down. Remember, packages sent by USPS cannot be tracked.

Time in Transit

Our Shipping facility is located in the small town of Myrtle Point, Oregon. As an idea of the time in transit, packages shipped from here by UPS take 8 business days to get to the east coast, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, Tennessee and similar areas. Estimated time to Seattle is 2 days, Los Angeles is 3 days and Phoenix or Las Vegas is generally 4 days. Packages shipped by USPS Parcel Post generally take about the same amount of time, although we have had some packages take upwards of 3 weeks to be delivered. Since there is no way to track them, it's difficult to know what happened to them enroute.

International Shipments

All international orders will be shipped by US International Priority Mail unless other arrangements are made in advance. The US Mail service recently changed their pricing and it is always expensive to ship overseas. There are also size limitations on the boxes that can be sent to some countries. For larger orders, please contact us by email so we can help you get the best use of your shipping funds. Packing one box of the maximum allowable size as completely as possible decreases the cost per item in the long run.

You, the receiver of the goods, are responsible for any customs duties or inspections. We will fill out the forms on this end honestly and correctly. Please don't ask us to say that it's "samples" or a "gift" when it's not.

We reserve the right to refuse international orders that we deem questionable or that come from areas with a known high fraud risk.

Packing Matierials

Knowing how awful it is to get loose peanuts inside the boxes, we try to bag them as use them as filler that way so they don't get inside the bottles. We're a "recycling station" for peanuts, so we get lots of colors and types from the local community.

The bottles, jars, lids and other containers are packed in boxes and/or bags before being put into the box. Powders and other ingredients are double packaged and the ingredients are clearly listed on the package. So far we haven't had any trouble with the shipping of our "white powders", but better safe than sorry.
